Latest Updates
Our plans for the new visitor centre at the West Hill Cafe site have taken an important step forward after Hastings Borough Council's Planning Committee approved planning permission for the development on Wednesday, 8 July.
While planning permission is an important milestone, a number of statutory processes remain before work can begin.
What’s Next?
Before construction can begin, further heritage approvals, including Scheduled Monument Consent, will be secured to ensure the development protects and enhances the nationally significant historic site.
Next Public Engagement Event
The West Hill Project team will be taking part in the next Hastings Town Deal open day on the 3rd of October in Priory Meadow Shopping Centre where members of the public will have the opportunity to view the latest plans and speak to the team.
